The Jewish Museum in the Kaliningrad Synagogue started its operation on September 18, 2022. The first visitors were the children of the Jewish Congregation. They were introduced to the various topics and stories about the Jews of Königsberg by Julia Oisboit. Afterwards, many adults from the congregation assembly came together for a tour.
Many visitors of the city come to the synagogue building to visit the prayer hall with an excursion or to try the kosher canteen. Now, in addition, there is a modern museum that tells about the Jews of Königsberg, who built the New Synagogue on this site more than 120 years ago. Exemplary life stories are told as vividly as possible. This exhibition was realized mainly with the funds of the German Foreign Office by the association Juden in Ostpreussen e.V..
